Hope – Otwock 16.07.

16.07.

Today we went with Antosia to have her plaster casts removed. We went there with great hope. My husband, our cousins (who are currently staying with us for the holidays), and I were wondering what that FIRST normal bath after such a long time would be like. Unfortunately, once the casts were off, it turned out that her feet were not in the correct position. I asked the head of the pediatric orthopedics department for an assessment. He confirmed the admitting doctor’s decision and decided to reapply the casts. This time for two weeks. Then a check-up, and if all goes well, plaster splints for 2 or 3 months, removed for only 15 minutes a day for bathing. It’s a bit sad, but on the other hand… what wonderful baths those will be! 😉

Today I also heard more about amputations, but at the moment, I am not processing those words. Not yet… I still have hope…

P.S. For “dessert”, here is a photo of Antosia in the hammock. She loves swinging. 😉
