Thanks to diligent rehabilitation, we managed (after 8 months) to straighten Antosia’s knee. Yesterday’s consultation with Dr. Paley confirmed our suspicions, and Antosia will have to undergo one more short surgery. A special plate will be implanted into her tibia, which should correct the knee valgus over a period of 1.5 to 2 years.

This stage of treatment is slowly coming to an end, and we are preparing to return home. In Poland, our daughter faces daily rehabilitation, massages, and swimming pool therapy. Despite follow-up visits, X-rays, and further stages of treatment, we wish you, our dear daughter, a peaceful and relatively carefree childhood. Our Facebook page and you, dear ‘Fans’, have helped us immensely. Thank you so much for this support, and we ask you to direct all your kind words to others in need, of whom there is unfortunately no shortage.

We will keep posting on the blog about the results and progress of her treatment, as well as other matters that are important to us.
