Phew…!

We are marking this down as one of the most important milestones in our lives. We have just received a call from the NFZ – the application has been signed by the President! We are overjoyed; everything is starting to fall into place. The financial barrier to Antosia’s treatment is no longer an issue!:-)

Special thanks to Uncle Seweryn, who helped us and traveled all over Poland with us to complete and submit the application! Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Justyna, and Ola for always finding the time to look after Antosia while we were drowning in paperwork. Thank you to our support group: Ola, Paweł, Paweł, Mariusz, Michał, Ewa, Grzegorz, Ola, Piotrek, Mateusz, Iwona, Maciek, Ania, Michał, Kamil. You are amazing!

Thank you to our Facebook aunts and uncles. For all the encouraging comments and warm words.

Our deepest gratitude to the residents of our town, Knurów, for your support, numerous fundraisers, and for holding our little Knurów girl, Antosia, so close to your hearts!

Thank you to everyone we haven’t mentioned: companies, churches, institutions, and doctors. We are incredibly grateful for everything.

We hope that the funds in Antosia’s foundation account will allow us to pay for her next two non-reimbursable leg surgeries, and that we can allocate the 1% tax donation funds to potential hand surgeries and long-term rehabilitation.

We will do our best to show Antosia many paths and many ways forward. We want to ensure that her disability does not stop her from living life to the fullest. We want her to know that mobility challenges do not stand in the way of being happy and doing everything she dreams of—and medicine will only help us achieve that!
