Where to start?

The emotions have settled; we are happy that our daughter has a chance to walk and run, and on her own legs. During the consultation, Dr. Paley briefly outlined the costs of the individual components of Antosia’s long-term treatment. We know it is an amount of around ONE MILLION PLN (maybe a little less, maybe more).

Over these past few days, we kept thinking: “we can do this, after all, the most important thing is that there is a chance.” A year is a long time, after all… We had so many ideas:

• Charity concerts
• Leaflets, posters, banners
• Sending out appeals
• Maybe TV, radio, local newspapers
• Campaigns on portals like: http://www.domore.pl/beta/view/main
• Online auctions

So many ideas, but what next?

• Charity concerts – how to organize them, where, who will play, who to invite?
• Leaflets, posters, banners – where to print them, the costs are huge, will they pay off?
• Sending out appeals – should we send them blindly to all companies? Who should we address them to so they don’t end up in the trash? How to write it so the appeal is unique? So that a company chooses to help Antosia specifically – after all, there are so many other children in need…
• Maybe TV, radio, local newspapers – who should we contact to get them to write about Antosia?
• Online auctions – what items should we list, will people want to buy them?

So many ideas, and yet we don’t know where to start? Of course, I would love to raise as much as possible, as quickly as possible, but how do we go about it? Will we manage, between work, raising a child, and daily chores, to focus on knocking on every possible door for help?
