Treatment Costs

Last week we received a few messages asking “what will we do with the money collected on Antosia’s treatment”. I’ll try to illustrate the situation of treatment and rehabilitation of our Antosia as clearly as possible. Generally, money collected for treatment will be spent on rehabilitation and treatment of our daughter.

National Health Fund agreed to cover the cost of treatment of first stage: October 2013 – May 2014; without cost of painkillers received after leaving the hospital in first stage of wound healing and lenghtening, bandages, flights, accommodation. Money collected during numerous events and thanks to many donations are on Antosia’s sub-account of the Foundation.

If the first stage of treatment is successful, we will try to use the collected money to cover:
– two another, unfunded surgeries ($100 000 each)
– check-ups in the US. Child’s bones grow intensively and annual check-ups will be necessary
– rehabilitation. It cannot be ruled out that Antosia, for the rest of her life, or at least until she stops growing, will need specialized limb rehabilitation
– orthopedic shoes, orthopedic pads
-if we find appropriate solution to improving left arm, we will also want to operate it

Because of rapid growth of bones and joints, missing fibulae and major feet losses, children with similar defects are prone to injuries. Every smallest injury can have very serious consequences and will require immediate, additional, corrections and surgeries, and treatment of such defect is often a bottomless pit…
We are both with my husband economically active and we hope that our salaries, funds collected so far and due to our family’s help will grant our daughter the best medical care possible, and we fight for it singe Antosia’s birth <3 Thank You again for your help. We know Antosia is not the only one... Unfortunately there are many people needing help, and that's why once again we officially THANK for all the donations and collections. Please keep your fingers crossed between 29.10.2013-29.04.2014 and pray for the success of our Daughter's treatment!
