Otwock – third approach.

Idyll never lasts too long and we have encountered first problems… There’s a bedsore on Antosia right leg (the slightly worse one) under the plaster. After a quick night trip to casualty ward in Koszalin we learned that we probably should not put the cast back on. That was another blow for us, because we knew this means another journey to Otwock…

We decided that Antosia will have this trip with dad. To our amazement, it turned out that the fastest and, at the same time, the cheapest way of transport from the west coast to Warsaw is a plane. And that is how Antosia ended up in the skies for the first time, me as well. Below there is our picture together.

We left quite early, at 5.30 a.m. We had around one and a half hour of roadtrip. After that an hour of flight, two trains and half an hour walk. The same on our way back… Antosia coped with the flights very well. She practically never cried, during the take-off nor landing, brave girl. All of this journey was just a very long walk with dad for her. For me it was quite the same, but a “mega” tiring one. It would be much easier if there were less obstacles for prams in our capital. That’s a topic for separate post, so there is no need to discuss it now. I only wonder how disabled people travel around the city in wheelchairs?

On the visit itself:
Until the bedsore is cured we put the cast aside. Unfortunately at the cost of feet position correction. But heel is more important, so we humbly do what doctors say. It may last for over a month, so we didn’t even put new bandages.
Left foot adjusts very well and this is conforting information. 😉

P.S. Father’s role isn’t probably appreciated enough in our society. At least five people that I met that day on the road could not believe that I would deal with a little baby quite fine on my own for so many hours of travel. Unbelieveable… 😉 Of course I greet everyone and I confirm that we landed around 8 p.m. where loving mommy was waiting for us and together we drove away for a well-earned rest.
