We started our stay in the capital city from a meeting of children with hand defects, which was organized by “In our hands” association. There were many attractions for children, but Antosia is still a bit to little, to actively participate in all the fun. Next year, however, together with her contemporary, Filip, who has hands and feet defects as well, they will show what they are capable of. 😉
After the meeting we had one DAY OFF to sightsee Warsaw. Antosia’s favourite were friendly squirrels in Łazienki.
And yesterday the long-awaited visit to professor Czubak, concerning fibular hemimelia… This time a bit more realistic one, unfortunately. On 25th October Antosia will have another surgery in Otwock. Reincision of Achilles tendons. Yet another plasters. Maybe before Christmas they will be taken off. Someone wrote in the comments earlier that legs cannot be that bad if someone considers doing something with them. That’s what I thought. Now I know, that surgeries in Otwock are to prepare Antosia’s tibias to be amputated, they have to be as straight as possible. Now we’re only waiting to 1st October to meet doctor Paley – He may say something else, but will this be more appropriate solution… ?
